In the example below the 1400 watt system will cost as little as $195 deposit with a net monthly payment of $22.08 per month, which is the difference between the $81.00 loan repayment and the $58.92 monthly saving on power bill. Over the 20 year period this system will actually earn $13735 after all payments.

The picture to the right shows where the power is flowing. In this example a 10% figure is used on daytime use which is typical of a house unoccupied throughout the day (only fridge running and some standby power) and other appliances turned off. For an occupied house the daytime usage may increase to as high as 50%, which has the impact of decreasing the power fed into the grid to 0 (green arrow).
