As of 20th AUG 2009 the Rudd Government has approved the landmark Renewable Energy Target (RET) legislation to ensure 20 percent of Australia's stationary energy will come from renewable energy sources by 2020.

The Solar Credits Scheme is now officially approved via legislation and the Office of the Renewable Energy Regulator (ORER) will begin processing Solar Credit REC applications in SEP 09.
