Auzion Partners with Griffith Uni in Development of AUZiMAX

Over a 12 week period a project was undertaken with the company Auzion Pty Ltd based on the Sunshine Coast. The project involved the design and refinement of electronic hardware to be used in an energy management system suitable for household installation. The main system function was to provide feedback on household electricity usage to users via an internet portal.

It was intended that the energy management system developed throughout this project (recently appointed the “Auzimax ©”) would help households significantly reduce their electricity consumption and consequently decrease carbon emissions owing to coal-fired electricity usage.

The aim of the project was to have a market-ready product, sufficiently developed to place into large scale production. The hardware for the system was designed using printed circuit board (PCB) CAD software. The PCB’s were fabricated externally, whilst assembly and testing was performed in the Auzion Pty Ltd workshop. At the completion of the project hardware had been designed, built and tested with the latest PCB designs being adequately refined and functional to put into large scale production.
