Auzion to Participate in ‘Sustainability’ Study

Auzion is pleased to announce that it will be involved in a study into what influences people when buying sustainable products.

University of the Sunshine Coast (USC) senior lecturer in management Bishnu Sharma, PHD, has just won a $4995 USC Internal Seed Research Grant for the 12-month project.

Dr Sharma said he was very excited about the project.

“Climate change is one of the hot topics at the moment and there are some local companies like Auzion doing some wonderful things,” he said.

He said however what wasn’t known was what customers considered important when making sustainable purchases.

“For example, we want to find out if they are more interested in saving on their energy costs or reducing their green-house gas emissions.”

Dr Sharma said the pilot project, which would be used to apply for funding from the Australian Research Council to conduct a more comprehensive study, would look at two case study companies including Auzion.
