Meet the Team – David Doherty, Gold Coast Warehouse Coordinator
David Doherty joined the Auzion team last December as the Gold Coast Warehouse Coordinator. In his role, David keeps busy by coordinating installations, organising stock and wholesale orders, liaising with customers and pestering the Sunshine Coast staff with plenty of phone calls.
David said the best part of his job is working with a great bunch of people as well as working for an ethical company with a set of strong core values that flows throughout the whole company from the CEO to the supervisors.
Living in beautiful Hope Island, David spends most of his time with his wife and stirring up his four awesome kids. He also enjoys playing golf (not very well), playing tennis (even worse) and taking pleasure in life.
Top solar energy saving/sustainability tip: Get Auzion to install a solar system at your home and turn out the lights (you can have lots of fun in the dark).
Favourite movie and why: I have a few and can’t choose – Bambi because of the intricate story line, Rambo for the Oscar award winning acting, Ground Hog Day because Bill Murray is hilarious and that given the chance we can make ourselves into better people and last but not least, Snatch because I like the way the story unfolds, especially the ending.
Favourite food and or beverage and why: Italian, French, Thai, Chinese, Japanese, Mexican – can you tell I like to eat? And umm… Red wine; I like to smell and taste the different nuances of the bouquets and flavours (sound like an alcoholic don’t I!)
Plans for the future (professional or personal): Short term; Hopefully to help grow Auzion on the Gold Coast and beat Colin at golf. Long term; to become an integral part of and valued staff member of Auzion, grow old with my beautiful wife and stir up my grandkids.
What is your favourite saying? Treat others as you would like to be treated and, this is a great saying from Jim Rohn, ‘If you want things to get better, you have to get better, if you want things to change, you have to change’. Also, ‘Don’t pat a burning dog and be good to your mum’.
