Meet the Team – Lorraine Swan, Customer Service Supervisor

Lorraine Swan, Auzion’s Customer Service Supervisor, moved to Australia with her family from Zimbabwe on New Years Eve in 2005 and received a spectacular welcome as they flew over the Sydney Harbour fireworks.

Joining the team a year a half ago, Lorraine’s responsibilities include processing information, customer communication and ensuring all systems are kept up-to-date.

Lorraine and her husband, who also works for Auzion, live in Buderim with their children. In Zimbabwe, the Swan family enjoyed spending their time bush walking and searching for archaeological sites but since moving here, their leisure time is spent at the beach, enjoying music, reading and learning about history and archaeology.

“I feel like my husband and I have settled into our niche at Auzion. I love the variety, challenge and most of all the people I work with; they are a great crowd,” Lorraine said.

Top solar energy saving tip: Switch off as many electrical appliances as possible during the daytime.

Favourite movie: “Educating Rita”, the British humour is so tongue-in-cheek and I enjoy the “dare to be different” theme.

Favourite food:  Rare steak and salad with a glass of merlot.  Yum.

Plans for the future: I hope to grow with my ever-changing role at Auzion. I also want to finish renovating my house, travel a bit more with my children and see more of Australia and possibly some of historical sites of Asia.

Favourite Motto: “Don’t put something off until tomorrow if you can do it today”.  I like to try to get the important things done each day and I’m always writing lists.
