Technology that pays for itself
A grid-connect solar electricity installation reduces your electricity bill in two ways. Every hour of sunlight saves you because you won’t be drawing electricity from the mains (unless you use more than the panels generate). On top of this, with a home solar power system, you’ll actually get paid for any excess electricity you feed back into the grid. How the feed-in tariff works
Energex or Ergon (the owners of the mains electricity infrastructure) will supply you with a bidirectional meter that measures what you use and what you supply back to the mains. In Queensland you’ll buy electricity typically at a rate of 21 c/kWh and sell it at 44 c/kWh (net). In New South Wales you’ll sell your electricity back to the grid at an average of 20 c/kWh (gross). Your electricity bill will be credited with the amount of power that your system feeds into the mains grid.

Help build toward a sustainable future
An Auzion Home Solar Power System can go a long way to helping you improve the energy efficiency rating of your home. Under the Building Code of Australia, new houses and major renovations are required to be built to a minimum energy equivalent rating that measures the energy efficiency of the house’s building shell (comprising the roof, walls, windows and floors). The highest energy equivalent rating a building can achieve is 10-star, with 5-star considered to be energy efficient.
