Auzion selects the most suitable inverter for the system size and application. The 1.5KW system utilises an SMA Sunny boy 1700 inverter, the 1.5+, 2.2 and 3KW systems utilise a Latronics PV Edge Inverter. The 3.7, 4.4 and 5.2KW system utilise a range of Power One PVI inverters.

The basic job of an inverter is to convert Direct Current (DC) to Alternating Current (AC) safely. Direct current is the type of electricity that works simultaneously to positive and negative electrical poles (take a battery, for example).

Alternating current, however, is the type of voltage required for household usage. It flows back and forth between poles, rather than at the same time.
